Who else got the Cinci AL special group, top of the list, extra special we love you email? I remember last yr this wasnt as special as it seemed.

I got it too... since you said wording is important, this is what mine said "You are currently in a special group of candidates who are at the top of our list and rated for acceptance as soon as openings in the class occur." Did everyone get the same letter this time?

got the special email too. So it doesn't really mean much, huh? Bobo did you get the same email last year then? Also, how are you able to know that the waitlist didn't move at all last year?

BTW, my email does not even mention the committee being "very much interested" in me, instead, it says:

However, we know from past experiences that openings always occur in the late spring and early summer and we are offering you a place on our Alternate List. Although the number of students accepted each summer varies and we never guarantee an acceptance, we anticipate additional offers will be made after May 15th.
The Committee on Admissions is now formulating the Alternate List from which any additional offers will be made. In light of the above information, we would like to include you on that list. For your convenience, you may notify us of your continuing interest in the University of Cincinnati by faxing or mailing the attached form.
Is this the 2nd type of email or are there actually 3 types? Does anyone else's say this?

Mine changed too. It doesnt have anything about the AL now. I guess it will when I send in the form to remain on the list?
Also I think there are a bunch of different forms of the letter. From previos yrs there were some who had what I posted about special group at the top, some who had special group but didnt say at the top, and some who just got the normal waitlist. But they are doing things differently this yr so who the knows anymore. Trying to figure it out will only drive u crazy....

My status page changed too... it still says i'm on the alternate list, but it says my app is now incomplete because they are waiting for rec letters... hmmm this is weird!
