Osteopathic school ranking

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
There's no official rankings for Osteo schools. However, in the US News list, they rank osteos in with allopathics. If I remember correctly, MSU-COM and WVU-COM made it in the top 50 for primary care? Someone jump in and correct me.

However, you have to take these all with a grain of salt. There's a lot of factors that determine which med school is right for you.

I advise you visit the schools you're interested in, and talk with as many students as you can. There are plenty of students from any school here on SDN who are willing to share their opinions.

Listen to this, and take it to heart, rankings mean nothing if you end up in a school you hate. and they mean little if you have the initiative to make your own way and teach yourself.

Is there ranking available for oesteopathic schools?

If not, which schools will be top ten if it was up to you to rank them?

Rankings are only good if they rank based on the same criteria that you're looking for. I now realize that I'm older that these rankings are uselss because you need to figure out what you want to get out of a school. I know this isn't the answer that you want because it was never the answer I wanted, but it's true. Best thing to do is to figure out what's important to you and then ask those question.

ex. faculty, rotations, match, surrounding area, pass rate, etc.

ask these questions in the forum and I think you'll find that you'll have a better idea of what schools fit your Top 10.

Hi there. Click this for SDN's school rankings. It's still a work in progress.

Scroll all the way down and click on osteopathic schools. 🙂

And...

Although the results make for interesting conversation, the index is completely unscientific and the results are bizarre. These results are presented simply for entertainment value. Do not use them to make career or application decisions.
