Rapid Review USMLE CD (1050 q's) and USMLERx (2000+ q's) have both been good to me.

As for straight path questions, you can't beat Robbins Review and WebPath.

anything else u guys used

I used usmleasy and have been pretty pleased with it. Some fo the questions seem fairly obscure, but it seems to compare for the most part with qbank

you like the rapid review cd? worth buying? (I know, another 30.00 can't make a big difference at this point ...)

I am also going to look into the usmleasy q's. heard decent things about them. I have a blueprints Q&A (350 q's) and a Lange 650 questions review book. Plus pre-test physiology (500 q's) and a lange pharm q book that used Katzung for its questions so they're pretty good.

I've started using NMS Review (850q). They are a bit harder than qBank and sometimes very nitpicky, but I figure harder is better than easier, and the questions do seem to hit on some very important topics.

I vote for the outdated BSS as the best question bank to complement Qbank. The questions are hard, hard, hard. As I've posted before, about 40% are worthless nitpicky irritating trivia, so you have to have patience to weed through these. But the other 60% test physiology, pharm, and path concepts in a way that's helped me a lot on the NBME's. I don't think they make these anymore but you can get the CDs on ebay for cheap.

I agree with a previous poster that Robbins review of path is excellent.

Have you looked at that Lange 650 Q's book yet? I thought it was absolutely terrible -- only did about 100 questions. The Michael King Lange question book has more questions and they are better.

To answer the OP, I've been happy with

QBook
Robbins Review of Pathology
Webpath

not quite as happy (but still worth doing):

Lange Q&A USMLE Step 1 (King)
Questions out of the back of Katzung's Pharm review book
Questions out of the back of Levinson's Micro review book

If you haven't done an NBME exam, or the 150 released questions, why not give those a go?

You could also look into USMLErx.com, USMLEasy, or Studentconsult.com. I've tried free questions from all three and they weren't bad. I liked studentconsult the most and usmleasy the least. But I don't have time for any of them.

I used usmleasy and have been happy with it. Questions seem of similar level to qbank, maybe a little pickier at times, but overall pretty similar. Test format is almost identical to qbank. I guess I'll be able to say more about the usefulness once i take Step 1, but for right now I am happy with it considering the much reduced cost

Oh great, more money down the toilet. I am freakin' broke. 😡

The levinson for micro/immuno is very good, I second that. I am ordering the pre-test biochem. Feedback on another thread said it had good questions.

OP, here is the link: http://www.usmleasy.com/

Doesn't USMLE or NBME offer free questions and explanations? How many questions do they give? Would that be worth doing?

They give you a good estimate of how well you'll do on the test (whether you want that info or not I think is is debatable), but I don't think they give you explanations.
