AMCAS Adding schools to apply to

I'm a little confused. I thought on AMCAS that when you add a school it asks if you want to send in your application now, and that if you do and want to add more schools later that you would have to re-enter the AMCAS all over.

But some people are saying otherwise? How does this work?

to add a school later you add the school, re-certify, pay 30 bucks, and you're done. you're re-submitting it in that you're re-certifying it. thats all, you dig?

Is re-certifying it the same is verification?

No. If you are already verified you just re-submit your app so it gets sent to the added schools.

once you're verified, you're verified. if you add schools after you're already verified, it's just a quick process of picking the school and paying the money. no standing in line to get verified again.

It says I have to resubmit my whole application to add more schools. Does this move you from your spot and place you in the back of the line to be verified?

don't quote me on this, but i don't think it does. last year i added a few schools before i was verified and my application was still verified in the same amount of time as most other applicants.

What happens if I add after I'm verified? If some schools have already received the AMCAS by then, will they end up getting the app again since you have to resubmit the entire AMCAS after you add?
