If you are a faculty member, administrator, committee member or doctor, please consider being a SDN Mentor. All volunteer mentors are allowed to remain anonymous on the SDN forums, but need to provide credentials that can be verified privately by SDN staff.

The mentoring program is designed to facilitate interaction between students and professionals in the different fields of healthcare.

Mentoring takes place in a moderated forum. Students have the opportunity ask questions of the various professionals and receive advice, guidance and support in an anonymous, non-judgmental environment.

Moderators are available to review all questions for appropriateness and relevance and serve as advocates in promoting productive mentor/student relationships.

The monthly time commitment for volunteer mentors is estimated at 1-3 hours. Commitments include checking the forums for questions and responding to questions in a timely manner. Realizing that the time of professionals is both limited and valuable, SDN has in place a system to make your participation in this program as simple and efficient as possible.

If you would like to serve as a mentor, please PM All4MyDaughter.

Thanks!
