DMUCOM Interview Discussion thread
Started by mshheaddoc
I am interviewing at DMU on 9/28 and was hoping that those of you who have already interviewed might be able to give some insight on the interview process. I have read that the interview is very conversational, but what kind of questions did they ask? Were they more ethical or personal. Thanks
go onto the interview feedback part of SDN. the questions posted on there were very representative of those i was asked. most of my questions were personal, not ethical. and i work at a women's center where abortions are performed. so if i wasnt asked ethical questions...i'm guessing you wont.

Hey all you intervieweeees! I see some of you milling around in the commons right now, awaiting your interviews. Just wanted to let you guys know that I was in your exact spot just a little less than 1 year ago. Now I'm stuck in the library stuck studying for Biochem exam III all afternoon. You'll love it!!
If anyone needs advice or input regarding the school or interviews or whatever, shoot me a message. Who knows, maybe you'll see m on your interview day 👍

Hello, future interviewees!
Just wanted to encourage all of you who interview at DMU to take advantage of the overnight student host program. Not only do you get a free place to stay, but you'll get to see what student life is really about, usually get a personalized tour at night (without the stress involved on interview day), and get to ask students all the questions you really want to but feel uncomfortable asking during the interview day. And just FYI, I'm an overnight host, so when you get your list of hosts, my initials are JS and I have a friendly dog. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about anything

I second what boner just said. Staying with a student host gives you valuable insight into DMU other than what they show and tell you during your tour and interview. I stayed with a host when I interviewed and she told me the ins and outs of med school at DMU. Take of advantage of it. Don't by shy or scared because we don't bite, well not me at least. If you check your interview email it will have a link to the various student host. I'm also a host so feel free to PM me. We're done with our first anatomy test so most of us should be available to be host. Good luck to all of you.
I am having an interview in October there. I am a bit scared of the panel interview. will see what happens.
