Hey,

I looked around SDN for a similar thread for those of us who have been accepted and plan to go to WVU this fall and couldn't find one.
If you already know of one please redirect me.

Anyways, congrats, everone! Anyone know where they are living yet?

Anyone watching the tournament this week?

Oh, Happy St. Patty's Day!
:luck:

...looking on the main forum listings page for "Allopathic Class Threads." There should be a thread there.

woooo! i am in this group....currently still working on the housing part in morgantown...and yes, i'm watching the tourney every day that it's on

can anyone tell me how we get our MIX ID and password? I got the first big mailing today and I would really like to review my financial aid award, but I don't know where this info is. Did we receive the MIX ID and password in the initial acceptance letter? In this latest packet? If not, where?

nowell,

first of all, congrats on your admittance! i also had a hard time finding my financial aid page. start by going to star.wvu.edu. then click "continue to star log-in page" under the stoplight pic. then click "star information system login". the next page will tell you how to determine your mix id and password.

hope this helps!

Wahoo! Just accepted! Looks like I'll be seeing you guys this fall. Anyone know where to get housing info?

Hey,
Do any current students have any insight into obtaining instate residency status for an OOS student?
Thanks

A shot in the dark,

Does anyone know of any scholarship/grant opportunities beyond financial aid offered in FAFSA? I'm out-of-state and just wondering if i'm missing out on any possible aid sources other than fed grad plus loans to help offset the cost of tuition and fees especially for OOS students. Does WVU consider you in-residence after the first year of attending? Thanks!

There is a list of scholarships on their financial aid website. Unfortunately, from what I've gathered so far (I'm OOS), it's pretty much impossible to get instate tuition unless you live there for a year prior to attending or marry an WV resident. Sucks! At $43,000 a year, I'm looking at a ****load of debt.

Has anyone received the third mailing with orientation info yet?

I am not sure. I want to get mine also, but I am going to wait to ask some M2's which are really necessary and for which classes are the syllabus enough on its own.

has anyone here purchased any of the books yet?
