If yall don't mind, can yall post your schedule throughout college so I can get a better understanding of how I want my courses set up? I'll be taking college alg and comp 1 during the summer to get those out of the way. (I may skip college alg and go straight to calculus because I heard if you have a 27+ on the math section of the ACT, you don't have to take it). Thanks in advance for all the responses.

Your school should have a "recommended sequence of courses" from whatever department your major is in. Use that, take all the pre-reqs before the DAT, and add in some useful upper level bio and you're good to go.

If you could post the classes you need to take, we could probably give you some ideas for the order to take them. Most of it is fairly obvious or otherwise simply a personal preference. Definately take Gchem your 1st year and Ochem the 2nd. I knocked out the lower division English reqs in the 1st year also. Take at least 1 class more than a full-load (12 units) each semester. And always take at least 1 summer course. That way you'll have the opportunity to take extra upper division electives that will sweeten up your transcript.

winter quarter I took math 9b, chem 1b, and bio 5a

to figure out what classes they are go to this website

http://classes.ucr.edu/schedule/Index1.aspx?browse=Browse

you can find the classes i took there and they explain what classes they are.

i took 3 classes almost ever quarter. i was told normally people take 4 classes.

i graduated 1 quarter early.

i didnt want to take 4 classes because i wanted time to do ECs.

hopefully this is what you were looking for. you will have to do a little bit of work to look up each class on that website.

Thanks..i'm somewhat getting an idea and will also let counselors help me.

http://www.olemiss.edu/depts/preprofessional/premed.html

Scroll down a little and you'll see the courses.

Also, since the school makes us choose a major, I'll be picking Biology. Does this mean I have to take atleast 1 biology each year or do I just have to take all of the classes on that list?

i dont know what you mean by you need to take 1 biology each year?

you should take the classes dental schools require and recommend.

take a look at my previous post. i posted all the classes i took and i was taking like 2-3 science classes each quarter for 4 years..........

hi guyss....
I have a question regarding course load. I am from canada and we consider like 5 classes as full course load-- so in my second year first semester it would be microbiology, stats, organic chemistry, cell biology, and my elective course (geography). If i drop my elective and continue with the other four classes will that give me a bad look since i am only taking 80% of the full course load i should. and also when the dentistry schools count your gpa do they count all four years or only the top three??
also the courses you take in your spring/summer term do they get counted towards your gpa as well?

thank you
