If by showing off you mean im withdrawing from schools that ive paid and havent heard anything from then maybe youre right ... there are many on here that dont use predents and i thought it might be nice to have it all in one place, on a single thread vs. having to go through everyones predent profile. Like myself and Andrew above some havent withdrawn but plan to ... without this thread it would still be a mystery

eldirty, I think it's a great idea dude..it will be ANOTHER way we can see who is withdrawing from certain schools.
Also, where are you going to be attending school eldirty? I'll be going to VCU and wondered what your thoughts were on this school.

Withdrew from BU, UB, and Tufts.
Funny when I called Boston Univ. to withdraw, she couldn't find my name. I then gave her my AADSAS number and she still couldn't find it. I told her I was accepted and offered a scholarship. She went to the "Accepted List" and still couldn't find my name. So she wrote down on a piece of paper and will take care of it.
Anywho, if anyone is in the waitlist for any of those schools, I hope this helps. GL everyone

I became so excited about this thread that I couldn't keep my fingers undercontrol due to withdrawls
I think the thread is a great idea eldirty. I don't think you're showing off... and that's coming from someone with 1 interview (still have to go to it).
It makes those of us who aren't in yet feel like there's hope... and for those of you who are in you can discuss why you decided against particular schools.

I would speculate that a nicely prepared leter stating that you appreciate their acceptance of your application (and money), thank them for the interview (if it applies) and then tell them to F*%k off.
Not really. Just let them know that you are accepting admission to a different dental school and would like to officially withdraw your application.

Could always use the same line wording I got in many of my rejection letters. Something along the lines of:
"Dear School X,
Unfortunately this year I have received a large number of quality acceptances and can therefore not accommodate you at this time. I understand that you have put a great deal of effort and hard work into this acceptance cycle. If you still seek my acceptance please, try again in 4 years when I seek out an OMFS residency."

hahahaha i love it! i just emailed the individual who interviewed me, she had sent me several emails since being admitted to tell me about the school so i figured it'd be appropriate. i think i might call the admissions office in a few days to make sure.
You must tell us her response
haha i wouldn't send that type of withdraw notification..that interviewer was actually quite possibly the nicest person i've met, it was hard to tell her i was accepting another offer because she was so helpful and put me in contact with some great people at that school.

Withdrew from Michigan and NYU today, an early Christmas present to those waiting 😉
i had always thought i would choose UCSF over UCLA, but i had a fantastic interview experience at UCLA but a weird one at UCSF so i'm confused now hahaha. nonetheless, UCSF told me i probably won't hear back from them until after jan. 15th, so i already put a deposit down for UCLA. both schools are dream schools of mine, so i'm extremely happy either way! 🙂

I know one person that withdrew from ASDOH post acceptance recently but I also know that they've started extending offers to post dec. interviews aready as well.
