Im a freshman jux trying to make it! Im tryna figure out what should i be doing and how should i be doing it! I want to knw answers like how do i prepare for the mcat before taking physics and do i take the mcat more than once? What is the best online and book resource for mcat preparation?😕😕😕 If you knw some things i should knw that i didnt ask please do tell and if you have the answers to the question that i have asked please post!!! Pre-Med in distress!

Not to be mean or anything but if you want to get in to med school or graduate college you got to at least have some level of digging skill.

No one can tell you how exactly you get from freshman year to med school beyond the level of detail that you should have known already.

You've seen the same questions asked by other people, yet you didn't decide to take the answers to those questions and apply them to yourself?

Get off the red font. Spell words out. Wit instead of "with" is not going to save you a significant amount of time.

And did you ever think that the best place for MCAT information/study tips might be, oh I don't know, the MCAT forum?

I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying about the MCAT until you have taken the prereqs. That will probably take you two years.

If you want to get a head start, any MCAT book will at least give you an idea of what is included. Since the test materials change from time to time, you may want to wait to start buying prep materials until you are approaching the time when you want to take the MCAT.

Some may not agree with me on this, but I recommend that one thing you could do immediately is to eliminate Internet slang (e.g. jux, tryna) from your vocabulary, as for many people, it seems to bleed through into their more formal communication. How you present yourself in speech and writing is going to matter a great deal in the path you taking.

Unfortunately, one of the latest requirements for medical school is that you have to learn how to speak (and write!) in English.

I'm sorry.

Good luck though!

Relax...there's no need to attack him like that.
And if you know the requirements, why are you asking?
You're asking people for help, and when they respond, you snap at them like this. =/

If you are a traditional applicant (MCAT junior year, interviews senior year), you'll probably already have taken physics already (or in the process of taking physics), so I wouldn't worry about that.
I've heard that Exam Krackers is really good for the MCAT..but like engineeredout said...try the MCAT forum for all these MCAT-related questions.
But I really wouldn't worry about the MCAT just yet. Concentrate on doing well in your glasses to make sure your GPA is where you want it.

I think you should calm down a bit if you're planning to ask for help 😎

Guys, we need more blue to put out the red!

This is an online forum. You have no right or ability to tell people to post or not. You started the thread, but it is not your thread to command. Sorry troll.

I'm usually not one to call this too early, but... troll? Regardless, its pretty funny

Explore interests. I am a dancer myself and thus took a lot of dance classes. Helpful classes are Biochem and Genetics for the MCAT. Bioethics and History of Medicine for interviews.

Well then maybe you should've clarified that in your first post instead of snapping at him like that...

And you can't tell people to "get out"...this is the Internet, for goodness' sake. What are you going to do, threaten him by pixels on a screen? 😛

Be careful; that poor little clover is going to drown if you flood it with that much water.

That's what I thought too... that is, until I read this post.

If you want some helpful advice, it might be better to ask more specific questions. It hard to answer the question, "how do I get into medical school?" Check the MCAT forum for all that stuff. There is plenty of advice there. But you really don't need to worry about that yet. Just focus on your EC's and GPA right now. Are you a freshman right now or a soon to be freshman?

errr, yeah.. don't worry about the mcat until you've taken all the prereqs. your best way to begin preparing for the mcat is to put a ton of effort into learning the material the first time in class, so review is actually review and brushing up on topics.

that said, it is never too early to start prepping with books because some prep companies, like examkrackers, only present the material that will (most likely) be on the exam. it's just that w/o the prereqs, you likely wont get as much out of the review stuff. i have friends who review with the prep books as they take the courses... they say it helps them hone in on the stuff that will be important when taking the mcat. sounds like a good idea..? but im not sure.

in terms of best mcat prep: i've heard examkrackers is pretty good. one admissions lady was talking about the berkeley review as being the best because they only work on the mcat. i personaly really liked the princeton review when studying for SATs so i might pick it again, in addition to EK.

Seriously, can you chill with the colors? I can't read what you're trying to say to me...

In terms of sheer number of posts, this is turning out to be an epic troll run. Just the right combination of rudeness and niceness to keep her in the game, lol.

Excellent thread. I give it two thumbs up. A very thought provoking question, as well as a nice opportunity to brush up on my vernacular. Commendable insight and mature responses. The palette of colors were aesthetically pleasing and a nice touch. Highly recommended. Will be reading this again.

NO BUT I DO DESERVE RESPECT ON MY PAGE AND CLEARLY SOME PEOPLE ARE MORE STUCK UP THAN HELPFUL. THIS SITE IS SUPPOSE TO BE HELPFUL BUT INSTEAD OF GETTING HELP IM GETTING INSULTED LAST TIME I CHECKED THERE WAS NO STUPID QUESTION!😡😡😡

if you're a freshman, just worry about you GPA, that is all that matters freshman year; next year try shadowing/volunteering, GPA, clubs, maybe start thinking about research if you want to do that. don't worry about the MCAT until your junior year though, just think GPA until the end of the semester and enjoy your summer.

people aren't really mean on here, they're just goofing around

Just in case you really aren't a troll, I'm just going to warn you... if you keep up going on with these kinds of posts, you will get banned (may already be too late for this though).
