I would like to thank the SDN community for all their advice and support, and the results after about 2 months of studying:
PAT 24 99.3%
QR 18 73.3% 😱
RC 25 98.0%
Bio 26 99.6%
Chem 20 79.4% meh..
Ochem 26 97.7%
TS 23 97.7%
AA 23 97.9%
Apparently, with all the study materials in hand, I lacked butt glue - when I did have butt glue, I didn't sit long enough for it to stick.
Within the two months of studying, I studied for only 2-3 hours a day sporadically the first few weeks. I studied most intensely the last 3 weeks, averaging 6-10 hours a day. All the while i still was attending classes for summer session...which really killed study time. I did not use the Kaplan course. Who needs it when i have my very own private tutor for free?! Actually my older brother, who just finished D1 at Temple, used to work for Kaplan...so he helped me study and get the KBB.
Materials used:
Destroyer, Kaplan BB, textbooks, Cliff's AP bio, Barrons DAT (new n old), Cliff's DAT, Topscore and CDP 5-test version.
BIO:
I thought it was really easy, probably cuz I'm a bio major. Overall there weren't any tricky questions. I used Destroyer (MUST HAVE), Kaplan BB, and Cliff's AP bio. I have taken general bio, and many upper div bio courses...which has helped ALOT. There was a crazy picture that i had to identify, i had a clue what it was but didnt know where it belonged to, oh well.
CHEM:
This section i studied the least for as you can tell by my score. I used Destroyer, Kaplan BB, and my textbook. Destroyer was overkill for this section, but it helps to be over-prepared than under. Wished I had studied more, but i was more focused on ochem. I tried watching Chad's video, but it was slow and agonizing so i did not make it past day 2.
OCHEM:
I studied the most for this section because i took the year-long course as a 9 week summer session last year (crazy, i know). So by the time a year has passed, i had basically forgotten everything and needed to reteach myself. I used my textbook, Destroyer, and Kaplan BB. The roadmaps are the greatest thing ever!!! Destroyer is right on the money. Kaplan was too general, so i had to use my textbook to supplement.
READING:
I didn't study for this section, but i did do all the practice tests. I got the croc passage....woot!!! First two passages were easy, last passage was a pain in the neck because it was asking tone and inference. My method was to read through the passages, and then answer the questions. I read super fast, so that's probably what helped me do so well here.

Did not study at all for this, since I'm usually a math wiz and have gotten a 780 on my SAT math. Pretty surprised at my score, but im happy that it makes the cut and i don't need to do a re-take. There were some crazy exponential reduction problems that i just had to guess on. Overall, i finished this section with an extra 5 minutes left, tho i had like 13 questions marked. I used Destroyer and Kaplan BB. Make sure to time yourself while going through the destroyer math section...it'll help lots!
PAT:
Super happy here. Get LOTS of practice for this section, use everything you can get your hands on. I used Barron's DAT (it has 4 tests: 2 in the book and 2 on a cd), Cliff's DAT (2 tests in the book), TopScore, and CDP 5 test version. Everything was pretty similiar to CDP, except angles were WAAAAAY easier. The hole punching threw me off because the holes were smaller and the paper had a wide border around it. Other than that, the hole punching was easier than CDP, not as complicated folds.
Overall im super happy with my scores...WAAAAAAAY better than I expected and a whole lot higher than my practice scores. I deferred my test 3 times, because i did not real ready. Even today i did not feel ready....but i had to do it so the schools can get my scores.
I submitted my AASDAS app July 9, and it was sent out July 29. I have applied to: Loma Linda, UCLA, Western, UoP, USC, UCF, UNLV, ASDOH, Temple, NYU, Columbia, and Harvard (just for fun, cuz i dont think ill make it in....dreaming never hurts..
)
My overall is 3.85 and science is 3.92. I have finished two years of college at UCR, and will graduate June 2010...so im quite a young'un trying to get into dental school. 😛
I have lots of extra-curriculars: Vice president of two clubs, member of many other clubs, a bunch of honor societies....most importantly Phi Beta Kappa, research, comm service, shadowing, and hands-on dental experience working in a clinic. I also work part-time.
