if i havent received an interview from downstate does that mean its too late? I just got my last 2 anesthesia letters submitted so just wanted to make sure it wasnt too late ALREADY haha

If anyone is wondering, UAB has December interview dates on the 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th and 17th. Their last interview day is the 2/4/10. Good luck all.

I am curious to those that are receiving interview offers, is your application completely done including letters of recommendation and transcripts? Or are you getting interviews before all your letters are in?

All my letters are in and my school normally doesn't send out our transcripts until mid-October. I told them a program had a deadline of Oct. 1, with exception of the MSPE, and they submitted last week.

Only my ERAS, PS, and Step 1 score is in.

So your school transcript is in then?

I submitted on 9/1/09 and ZERO interview.... it seems stupid but I'm starting to feel really anxious..

I have in everything in but my MSPE and Step 2 CK. It appears that the early interview invitations are program specific. I've talked to people who matched last year and they said many programs' interviews came toward the end of September.

Also, I looked at program websites (30+) and a few said they didn't review an application until it had in everything but the MSPE. The majority just stated what they needed to complete your application but didn't state what was needed to start reviewing it.

I wouldn't get nervous at this point. I would just keep looking on this board for programs that have initiated their interview process and ask other people in your class that are applying for anesthesia. I was also told that some programs send out rejections for interviews. Good luck!

i'm anxious too. i check my email constantly, but no interviews yet...

I was freaking out as well, I was about to start applying to more programs but its still early. The invites will come.

I got all excited this week because I got an email from UF. Alas, it was only to say that they had received my application and would get back to me when all materials were in, including the MSPE. So I guess it'll be November before I hear from them again. :-\
