I'm a Wisconsin resident and just sent in my deposit! I was a little confused about the packet they sent us. It made it sound that a Wisconsin may or may not receive the state subsidy. Is this true, or would it only be in a circumstance where the individual did not get paperwork, etc in on time?
i'll be joining you all in August as well. Third times a charm. Just curious any other panthers (UW-Milw) here?

The faculty just isnt what they seemed like at my interview. They are very fake and could really care less about you. Many of them are even jerks to you, when you start working in the clinics you will see their personalities really come out when they interact with some patients. Personally I feel that this isnt the best environment to learn in, which is why Im urging others to take other options. For me it's too late and I just have to stick it out because I'm too much into debt and too far into this to drop this, reapply, and go somewhere else. Another thing is that many of the people that I go to school with are jerks! If I had one word to describe the majority of them it would be "douchebags". Many of them are tooooooo "cool" to even talk to you. Anyway I only say all this to try to help because I wish someone would have told me what it's really like at Marquette. Should've gone out of state...

Wow, I read that article and it sounds like Marquette is trying to make their students hush up about any of their flaws....
During my interview one of the adcom members said that if you think they don't read SND, you are mistaken because they definitely read what people post on here.
I think instead of policing student blog posts or comments on SDN, they should work on hearing out their students are trying to correct their faults. No school is perfect, but at least most are striving to become better.

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything from Marquette this week. I called on Monday and they said that we should know our fate by the end of the week. Good luck everyone!
