Hurray!!! My #1!!!

Does anyone know as far as the LORs and doc of observation goes, do we need to resubmit the same ones? I suppose I could call tomorrow but I am guessing somebody already has.

Bump... I also asked about this in another UMN thread (so many duplicate threads)
 
I highly doubt we would have to resend those items to the school. I am going to wait for the "secure accepted student website". I'm betting it will have more information about those items and what is expected from us.

Congratulations to all! I'm very excited!

I called today and they said I did not have to resubmit any letters since they were already in my file. Also, for the documentation of shadowing, I just typed up a few sentences saying that I had completed "x" hours shadowing at "x" dental office and had the dentist I shadowed sign it.

Yep, one of my recommendations on AADSAS was written by a dentist so so said that was sufficient. Haven't gained access to the web portal yet though! I'm excited to see our orientation dates and such. :highfive:

Just got my email to activate my U of M Email and get into the Accepted Student Portal!:banana:
 
I have activated my email now, but they need to add my name to the "list" before that accepted student portal appears in the myU section. Nicki made it sound as if that would happen as soon as I emailed her confirming my account activation, but I'm still waiting. I'll let you know when I get in!
 
They are raising their tuition this year.. they prob do every year but i heard like 12% increase

Well, I have been added to the list to get into the Accepted Student Portal, but she said it may take until early next week before IT over there makes it accessible. Boo!
 
Alright! I finally have a funtional portal! The class list has only 19 so far that have accepted, 2 from SD, 2 from WI, and 15 from MN. Plenty of spots left-though the deadline for responding for Dec 1 acceptances is Jan 15, so it's probably safe to say some more will be added by then. Good Luck!

Yeah that number will definitely increase by Jan 15. I only care about oos so far it looks somewhat encouraging but well see, got awhile to wait yet. Thanks for that information, I'll definitely message you later on for an update if that's cool.
 
Did all interviewed candidates who didn't get accepted get that email today about their application being put on hold?
 
Herme, can you update us on the number of people listed on the portal? thanks for the help!
 
The list is still sitting at the same 19 people. I haven't heard anything from them lately either, other than getting another packet in the mail with more stuff to fill out and return. I'm sure they're all taking it easy over the holidays and will be back up and running soon!

Is that 19 who accepted from out of state?
 
Yeah, of the 19, there are 15 in-staters and 4 out-of-staters (2 from WI and 2 from SD).

Awesome! I know its not Jan. 15th yet but thats still encouraging! Hopefully I hear from them after Jan. 19th.

Still nothing new. 19 people have sent in deposits, reserving their seats. The breakdown: 15 Minnesota residents, 2 South Dakota residents, and 2 Wisconsin residents. Hopefully they'll be updating the list soon, or at least around the 15th when all of the responses from Dec 1 acceptances are due.
 
I just logged back into my portal and they have removed the list-possibly to update it! I'll post back with an update when the list becomes available again. Good luck!

Just an FYI for people waiting on Minnesota, I'm almost positive the committee meets on the 19th to determine 2nd round, so that would be Tuesday.

I'm really curious if they gave out any acceptances today cuz there were at least a few rejections given out today.
 
Just got an email personally from Dr. Lopez, I'M IN!!!!!! Off the waitlist btw.
