There were times when I thought this day would never come. It feels so good to be done but I have mixed feelings about my scores since I did better than I thought I'd do on some parts and lower in others.

I ended with the following scores.
AA 20
TS 21
Bio 19
chem 23
ochem21
RC 20 🙂🙂🙂
PAT 19 😡
QR 19

I used cliffs, CDP, achiever, destroyer and math destroyer. I studied for about a month and a half ~ 5 hours/ day for the first month and 7-10 for the last 2 weeks. My schedule was really hectic since I was working 2 jobs (a fulltime and a part time) all while trying to study. I wont give a detailed break down for the science part since this is pretty staight forward. I read through cliffs, went through achiever 2 times, and destroyer once. Every question I got wrong, i would write it down in a notebook and try to understand what I did wrong. The key for chem, ochem, bio and math is to learn from your mistakes.

I decided to retake my DAT because of my 15 on RC the first time I wrote the cDAT so I'm happy to see I got a 20 this second time around. I'm a really slow reader so I was shooting for a 18 on RC. I used SND on my first DAT and I failed miserably so the second time I just practiced with achiever. I found reading the the whole passage really worked. I would read the first 5 paragraphs while trying to understand everything. After the first 5 paragraphs I would go through all the questions and try to answer all those that I knew. This gave me a chance to read through all the questions so that way I knew what I was looking for in all the remaining paragraphs. Then I would read the rest of the passage, stopping to answer a question everytime I encountered the answer in a paragraph.

For QR the trick is to go through the questions that you know you can answer in less than a minute. Leave all the word problems till last. The questions were a little easier than math destroyer but very similar in the format they asked the questions.

I'm really disappointed with my PAT and bio scores since I never got anything less than a 20 in all my practice rounds. I'm planning on submitting my app by saturday. I'm a Canadian student applying to NYU, Tufts, UoP, Boston, USC, VCU, Howard, Meharry, Temple, Loma linda. GPA is ~ 3.4. I have lots of shadowing hours and research for 2 years. What do you guys think??

My apologies for any spelling mistakes I made while writing this. I'm ina rush at work, and should be plating some experiments instead of being in this forum. I would really appreciate your input.

good job 👍

did you ever take the Canadian DAT by any chance?
and unless you're a minority, i don't think you should apply to Howard or Meharry.

you sound kind of like me
my GPA is 3.19, but my Canadian DAT scores were a bit better than yours (AA23, PAT21)

you should definitely get a few interviews from what I've seen and read on SDN

Awesome scores! See, you didn't have to worry that other day, you rocked it! 🙂
