I'm finally done with the DAT! Overall I'm satisfied with my scores except for QR!!!!

PA 20 (85.4)
QR 16 (53.2) 😡😡😡
RC 22 (90.3)
BIO 22 (95.7)
GC 18 (61.7) 🙁
OC 30 (100.0) 😀
TS 22 (96.0)
AA 22 (96.4)

Quick breakdown:

PA: I expected to do a lot better! TFE was VERY difficult even though I normally scored well on this section in CDP. One hole punching question definitely had an error in it. Pattern folding seemed easy but I ran out of time... that probably cost me a couple of points.

QR: I used CDM and Math Destroyer. There were a lot more word problems on the actual test than in Math Destroyer. I could have done soooo much better in this section... Oh well... It just wasn't my night to do math problems 🙁

RC: I would say this section was very equivalent to TopScore RC. Ran out of time to finish the last 5 questions. My passages were on Calcium and Language... and I can't remember the third one.

BIO: I used only Barron's AP Biology and then took the TopScore and Achiever tests. I would definitely recommend Barron's AP Biology!

GC: I never liked GC and I don't like it even more after seeing this score. Oh well..

OC: It was very straight forward although I did struggle with a few questions. Definitely did not expect to get a 30. I would say that it was easier than TopScore and Achiever.

Do you guys think that I should be worried about my QR and GC scores??? Let me know what you think. I'm pretty sure I won't be retaking it, but I would just like to see your opinions on this. Thanks!

No way. Do NOT even worry. They are still above average and all your other scores are great. I would kill for scores like this. I take it in 6 days.

I think you are in great shape! Those scores are excellent, so hopefully you aren't applying to the same schools as me 😉

Thanks guys, your comments made me feel so much better!!!! I'm so happy about these scores but at the same time I'm still stressing out about the QR score. The cutoff scores for Midwestern is 17, so I'm bummed that I can't get in there...

I also forgot to mention that this was my second time taking the DAT. Below are the scores from my first DAT, for which I studied for 2 1/2 weeks... That was a bad idea!

PA 19
QR 16
RC 17
BIO 17
GC 17
OC 19

I used only Destroyer for the first test, so my advice would be to take lots of practice tests and to time yourself!!

Congrats..
How/what did for O chem??

Dude you did really well. a 30 in Orgo!!!!! how often do you see that?
don't worry about the QR. I really don't think that 16 will be a problem. Call the schools you are applying to and ask them. You have nothing to lose. A lot of my friends did that.
good luck

Great scores on the second time around!

I just took my DAT for the first time after studying for it for 2 months and I kind of have iffy feelings about my scores. They're not awful but they're not great (AA - 19...I got a 16 on quant too... and PAT - 21). I am pretty confident that I could do better taking it a second time (less of a nervous factor and a little bit more time to do more practice tests), but I'm tentative because I hear that it's not looked highly upon to take it twice. With the scores you got the second time, I'm sure that you're glad you retook it...but what advice would you have for me in terms of retesting? How did you change your study strategy between exams?

Thank you, and best of luck to you with apps! 🙂

Again, thank you all for the positive comments!

Greenafghan, for destroyer I used mainly destroyer and my amazing ochem book, "Organic Chemistry" by Janice Gorzynski Smith. I didn't study for this section too much though because i was always good at ochem. I redid all achiever and topscore practice exams a few times to make sure i remembered how to do all the problems.

ddslove789, I studied for only 3 weeks for the first DAT and used only destroyer and PAT kaplan book that i borrowed from my friend. I did not get any sleep the night before the DAT and I was VERY nervous taking it! For the retake, I did not touch my books for a few days before the DAT and even went on vacation, got lots of rest and went in to take the DAT very relaxed. It's so important to not stress out during the exam! I studied for about 3 months and retook topscore and achiever exams a few times... I think that helped me a lot and the fact that I was very relaxed during the exam!

Thanks for the tips! I retake in a little less than 2 weeks...so d-day is fast approaching. I'm feeling much more relaxed and more prepared this time around, so hopefully my scores will reflect that!
