Man for real? Are you just trying to piss people off? I just don't get the point of starting so many threads especially when you are being constantly ragged for them. You must just be immature for continually doing this.
Boardwalk Empire. Good or bad show? Discuss.
Never heard of it, but it's probably better than this thread.Boardwalk Empire. Good or bad show? Discuss.
From what I've heard it sounds like an intense but rewarding specialty. Lots of procedures, lots of high acuity patients, etc. I've been warned, however, that it is kind of like a residency that never ends in the sense that they spend a LOT of time physically in the hospital, except that when there is nothing to do they can just chill with their ipad watching netflix.
Its decent, I dont think Steve Buchemi (however you spell it) is a good actor to play Nucky but thats just me.
Can a ban actually be requested? Muff is nearly conceding to trolling here...

I'm at a loss for words. So... many... muffin threads.

Honestly, I almost wonder if muffintop really IS a troll... but it's probably just a general lack of self-control, social skills, and intelligence....
For anyone who innocently searches SDN and stumbles on this thread...
Search for "OldBearProfessor" he is an attending neonatologist and plenty of his posts would address this question.

i wish the mods would take care of muff. its getting old...i can just imagine him smiling at what a ruckus he is making, although he is probably alone, in a dark room, with nothing else to do (except do some writing for like $20/hr, right muff?)
we need to outsource. can anyone find listings in the yellow pages for a muffie the thread-maker slayer?

I hereby decree that this thread now be about bottled water!
Now, I've always heard other people claim that they can't taste the difference between different brand/types of water but I always have noticed a difference. What do you all think? What's your favorite type? I'm partial to Arrowhead, myself...

I always felt that filtered water tasted a little...iffy. I'm really a fan of the natural.

I like this...i think we should start spamming all of muffin's threads.
Evian spelled backwards is naive...Evian is expensive, but I don't care. It really tastes better.
Also, I am now designating rafflecopter as the person who decides what muffinman's threads are actually about.

I wont let you guys down! 👍
Now, this thread has gotten a little off topic. Back to water. I watched a 60 minutes special once that revealed where these "natural spring" bottled waters really come from. Usually it involves tap water and a good filter system 😱.

Naively delicious!
Fiji for still water, Pellegrino for sparkling. 👍
I've always liked Ice Mountain. All bottled waters are not created equal. There is a very large difference between spring water and other bottled waters. Most store brands are municipal waters (tap) filtered (maybe) and then bottled. I believe most waters contain some fine print with the source written on it. Must be an informed consumer! Happy Drinking!

That's so true! It's why I stopped buying bottled water a long time ago. Got myself a filter and a Nalgene bottle and I'm good to go. Saved myself money over time

I fill up my water bottle from that machine all the time. I get a lot of weird looks, though. You'd think that researchers, of all people, would know about the stuff that is in tap water that I want to avoid...
I don't care if my purified water is from a sparkling mountain stream or not, I just care that it is pure.

The secretaries in our department fill up a jug of our nanopure water for the coffee machine. It comes out of a long hose and they just put the hose right into the jug. There is no way that they aren't getting some of our stuff in it. Eww. It's not sterile. Just deionized.

Yep! The millipore thing looks like a Brita on steroids. My lab has an upright water filter/cooler/heater for human consumption though so I have never resorted to using the millipore.
I like the Smart Water bottles because they have little fish on the inside of the wrappers. So, when you look through the bottle itself....it looks like there are fishies swimming around!

I never understood Smart Water. What's their deal? Why are they smart?
Today in 6th grade science class I learned that water really looks like this:
mind = blown
mind = blown
I love going to Lake Tahoe or other fun places like that where the tap water is so delicious! It really makes me hate LA tap water even more.
Word!
I'm from San Diego and the tap water there tastes like it's has been filtered through the gutters. When I moved to Boston, I purchased a water filter and when it ran out I decided to just fill my Nalgene straight from the tap *shrug* and much to my jubilant surprise it tasted the same as it would have filtered.

you guys are seriously the biggest bunch of losers i've ever met. 33 posts about random stuff?... you just sit here and flame?... i don't waste my time posting stupid comments i have better things to do, I just started a discussion about the lifestyle of a neonatologist and you were immature little kids and started talking bout dead baby jokes.
please explain to me how discussing the lifestyle of a neonatologist is a bad thread

You start 1908372 stupid threads and we fill them with stupid posts. If you're looking for social interaction that feels less dysfunctional, you should try a dating site, or a moratorium on starting new threads

🤣🤣🤣
Does anyone know about this? Don't give me that stupid link to the thing that types it into google for you. I've done this already, just starting a discussion.![]()
This post is the reason we are talking about water and not your thread. If you were honestly curious about a neonatologist, you could either:
a) Ask someone in one of the MD specialty forums who would actually have an answer to your question.
b) Use the search function here to see if had been asked before.
c) Shadowed a neonatologist to find out from the horses mouth.
Since you did none of these, your thread is now about water.
Way to rip on muffins and stay on topic (about water) at the same time. 👍

Does starting 20 useless threads per day constitute "better things?"
Back to dihydrogen monoxide
LOLOL

Since that bridge behind the great Mr. Freeman is likely suspended above a body of water, the subject of this great thread, I'll forgive you for getting off topic

Edit: I didn't even see the DHMO pic the first time around, my bad 😛

haha I kid I kid... But no reason to pass up a chance to work on my PS skills
I do hear though that the train is state-of-the-art in that it is fueled by troll tears.
wrong thread?
If it makes anyone feel better, all of your tap water is probably a lot better than mine. I'm from Waco, so you can google Waco Water and read about the troubles we've been having. The city and surrounding communities have been on numerous "boil orders" in the past year. It sucks

The worst part is, he said he already googled the answer but just wanted to start a discussion, as if the lifestyle of a neonatologist is something controversial that people have heated disagreements about. Is he called muffeoniv because muffeoni, muffeonii, and muffeoniii all got banned but now he has revised and streamlined his trolling abilities? cool.
🤣. I can picture this:
Coroner: "Well Mr and Mrs Muffeoniv, the bad news is that your son drowned and was simultaneously run over by a train."
Mr and Mrs Muffeoniv: "There's good news?"
Coroner: "Yes. I just saved a ton on car insurance by switching to Geico."
wrong thread?
Totally the right thread 😛

No bueno!!!
Hey, can anyone taste between brands? I can taste certain brands for sure (ie Dasani, Arrowhead, Aquafina are all easy to tell apart). Even did a blind taste test once because my friend bet me I couldn't actually tell the difference. I kept counting that 5 bucks I won over and over right in front of him...

OMG post of the week.
Mr and Mrs Muffeoniv: "Hi we just got your text. Our son was hit by a tidal wave and attacked by a wild pit bull at the same time?"
News Reporter: "Oh don't worry; it didn't cost me anything since I have Sprint's new unlimited plan."
Mr and Mrs Muffeoniv: "And your email said we were being sued by the pit bull's owner?"
News Reporter: " "Yeah, email is unlimited, too. And I just updated my Facebook status!"
eh, this one didn't turn out as good as I thought it could
