Hi,

I am looking for an MCAT study partner(s). I would like to do our studies online. Whoever is interested just send me private messeges!!

hit me up, currently powering through all TBR passages

Same here. are you doing BR chapter 1? I found the eye questions to be quite different from the passages- they didn't have much info on that, how'd you think of that?

A I understand the SN2ed schedule, on day 4 it's EK biology day. I'm not reading TBR bio section. I am however doing the passages out of TBR that correspond to the first EK bio chapter.

I'm in (even though my MCAT is next week). I'll still be studying until scores come out haha, although not as much. Hit me up if anybody needs help in the sciences. I'm hopeless in verbal.

Maybe we can use this discussion thread to discuss questions we had problems with as well as motivate each other!

I'm in, my exam date is 9-10-2011.

Currently on Day 2 for SN2's method. What a humbling experience lol.

I'm in. Test date is 8/18/11. Currently doing SN2ed's study guide--diggin' it so far on day 4. However, I fear burnout down this 3 month path. Motivation will be in high demand in probably....a few days. Haha.

So far the SN2ed schedule is coming along pretty well. Getting in a solid 4-5 hours of studying a day.

First chapter of orgo was brutal. Long, and that's the material I've forgotten the most. I was just in biochemistry and physiology/anatomy, so the Biology yesterday was a breeze. Really have to review my verbal passages from yesterday because I kind of bombed them(3 and 4 from EK 101). Such interesting topics, marijuana and healthcare. I Don't understand why I did so poorly.

Second chapter of Physics today shouldn't be too bad. How's it going for everyone else?

HAHA, yeah I'm making it a habit to wake up early every morning to do timed passages. I remember these topics this morning. The healthcare wasa kind of tricky. I am currently using EK method of thorougly reading the passage so I dont have to "go back". I totally missed the main idea on the healthcare.

I'm in, test date on 8/19/11 at 8am.

On Day 4 of Sn2ed's schedule. Finished ochem yesterday, it was a good reminder of previous stuff. Physics though...I'm pretty sure I found out my weakness.

Is anyone else taking an extraordinary long time to get through these chapters? It's taking me a good 7 hours to get through one chapter, and my passage results are less than impressive...

I was thinking (ha)...what does everyone think, later on when the material gets more and more meaty, of a Skype chat session once a week to discuss whatever problems we had?

Skype chat sounds great. Can I join in? My test date is 7/6 and so far I've only gone through exam crackers chapters.

I'm in! skype sounds good, let me know when u decide to start..

currently re studying everything, took and voided, intend on taking July 28. Using TPRH, some EK1001and phys Nova.

SN2ed should put in a disclaimer about how his method pretty much eats your day up. I put in a good 4-5 hours just READING, and then the last 1 or so doing problems.

And we're not even including verbal.

If he put it in there, I must have missed that note.

But make no mistake, it's a solid study plan.

It takes me awhile too, but then what has helped me is not get bogged down on the details but rather the overall concepts. Maybe you should try that, it should help.

What I have found that helps is to do EK 1001s before you do the passages. Since the passages have to be timed and you have to make those count as if you are taking the real exam, it's easier to pinpoint your weakness on the EK 1001s rather then the passages. Just my opinion.

I would be up for a skype chat to just talk over things we had problems on. I'm on day 6 (I moved my break day to yesterday instead of today :/)

Hi Everyone,

I didn't get a chance to read through the entire thread, but I am definitely down to meet maybe once a week and go over/work through some concepts, etc that are giving people trouble!

Thanks

elusiveCHILD, I think I'm getting bogged down in the details too. I'll definitely have to look at the overall concepts more often.

So before this thread goes down into oblivion...

For anyone who is interested in meeting once a week for discussions, questions, etc. on Skype, my Skype sn is sc4s2cg. Feel free to add me.

I was thinking meeting maybe every Saturday at around 1 (EST), but obviously this can be modified.

Actually let me make a new thread, just so we have a dedicated thread for Skype.

Edit: Thread for skype
