Perhaps we should block patients nasopalatine, greater and lesser palatine nerves just prior to them eating ice cream. Perhaps there is a pulsed RF CPT code for this- brain freeze prophylaxis by non destructive application of radiofrequency energy....
I get it pretty severe and would not have a problem testing out SPG as prophylaxis. Concern over lidocaine blocking flavor of ice-cream or milkshake.

To be notorious, you could videotape you doing the SPG block on yourself....then followed by mango ice cream. That would make a great Utube video....
