Hey! Would you mind if we had separate threads for the UK schools? I really like how that was done for previous cycles. It allowed students to communicate with those applying or accepted to the same school. They didn't have to sift through other conversations and advisory tidbits regarding many other schools (a mere convenience of clarity I admit). Also, can we add a thread for Massey University, New Zealand? If it is already there and I'm just not seeing it, I am so sorry! Thank you so much!

I don't see a thread for Tuskegee University😕. I know people had to apply to that school. Can we get a thread started? Pretty please?

What do you all think is appropriate to do for LORs once you have gotten in? A card, an artfully displayed yet tasty fruit basket? Should I mail the card, or bring it to them in person? I'm just curious about what the etiquette is for this type of situation. What about people that wrote me LORs last year when I didn't get in?

Also can one of you lovely admins add the Successful apps thread to this one?

We have a thread for acceptances, interview invites, rejections, etc, but there is no thread for those that declined offers or withdrew applications. I've noticed some people will post to the threads for the schools when declining an offer to give hope for those on wait lists, so why not have them all in one place? I don't have any to post, but I wanted to throw it out there as an idea. 🙂

AAVMC Admissions Policy

April 15th Acceptance Deadline Policy

In order to grant member schools enough time to complete their admissions processes and for applicants to make informed admissions decisions, schools will not require applicants to decide upon admissions offers, scholarships and financial aid, until April 15. To ensure applicant awareness of this policy, the schools will attach the policy to all admissions offer letters. If April 15 falls upon a weekend, the date will be shifted to the next Monday.

This policy does not apply to the following schools:

International Schools

Tuskegee University

Approved by the AAVMC Board of Directors
