Interviewed - changed to "Check back Dec 1" = Acceptance, fixed version of blank

Interviewed - changed to "recieved/under review" = Wait for the next wave. They are still reviewing your application because they will not notify you on Dec 1.

Rejected - changed to "Check back Dec1" = Rejection


Once school decide about your status either "offer made" or "rejection" the date turns into blank and the status turns into "Check back Dec1"

If you have already given rejection before and got check back message that means the school already set you in rejection.

However, if you get interviewed and turned into "Check back" message that means you are accepted.

Dont argue with me, this is the truth. I know what is going on.

Dont say after dec 1, "oh keaton you were right"

Wow what great insight. 🙄

Here I was thinking when they sent me this rejection letter months ago and telling me to check back it would somehow magically become an acceptance.

Sooo what about "invited for interview" ?
 
keaton sure is confident. I wonder what his source is, I bet he will never tell.

I agree with OP. That's what I would deduce as well.
 
So every school I've interviewed at still says "recieved/under review". Does that really mean I won't hear anything Dec 1????

my question exactly! lol for one of the schools im almost sure that i have been accepted still says that im "invited for interview"...it did however kept going from received/under review to that for quite sometime in early november though so i dont know...i guess we will find out soon enough :xf:
 
I think the Check Back message just means they've been updated, so an acceptance or waitlist is probably possible for this designation.
 
I think this is a good guess -- "Check back on Dec 1st" update for those who've interviewed probably means you're accepted.

Mine changed to "Received/Under review" so I'm pretty depressed. But at least it's not an outright rejection! :xf:
 
Kikis! But what about "Invited for Interview" to a school you've already interviewed?

Interview Invite - Review/Under Review = Just like Pitt did, they didn't make their decisions yet.
There is no one who got "check back" message yet = They will update their decisions tomorrow

Interview Invite - Nothing changed = Just as it is, they are still reviewing your application. It can be updated tomorrow or you application is still under review

My point is this. There are not many schools that updated their results yet.
So far Case, Nova, and few more school did.

Guys, most school update their decisions tomorrow okay? be patient
 
Not that this is the place for this, but since Master Keaton there knows everything what will our statuses online be revealed to us at midnight tomorrow night? And if so, is it midnight in the school's time zone? Or our individual time zones?

what about the folks from Nova. They all said they got "check back dec 1st" but some had acceptance fee listed on their portal while others didn't.. can you explain this one as well?

It's based on your individual time zone. It is based upon "AADSAS webpage server" time zone which is in this case to be EST. So ppl who are living in east side will see the update on Dec 1 12:00AM, whereas ppl who are living in west coast will see on Nov 30 9:00PM

Hmm this is interesting. I'm still skeptical that this will be the case for every school, since it seems like everyone (on SDN) that interviewed at Nova got the "check back on dec. 1st" back message on AADSAS.

As I said, check back message will be most likely an acceptance. School do not tend to send their rejections to people who interviewed the school pre Dec 1. They rather put them in alternate list.

But like I said, it is most likely an acceptance, but could be a rejection.
Since I am not familiar with NOVA system, I can't help you with the portal system that they are using their own.
 
Okay, If you get "Check Back" message, that means they made a decision upon your application. That's it. No doubt. It could be either rejection or acceptance. But most likely it will be an acceptance. Unless school really don't like you, you will hardly get a rejection from the school on Dec 1. They will put you into the alternate list.

Like I said I don't know what is going on with NOVA portal system. Maybe the person who sees deposit table will get an acceptance while others don't. But who knows if that is the other way around. But I think the first way is right.

It's simple if you see check back message that means you will see your status update on Dec 1.

I would agree with everything you said, but I just can't because of the Nova people having different things on their portal and yet all of them have "check back on dec 1"

IMO, "check back on dec 1" means just that. There has been a decision made (i.e accepted, waitlisted, or rejected) and you must wait until the 1st to see it. AADSAS probably fixed the "blank" glitch. Just my 2 cents.
 
We can sit here with our tin foil hats on trying to put some meaning into every little detail on AADSAS. But these assumptions are baseless and there is no way to prove right from wrong. Rather than perpetuate these false claims, this thread will now be closed. You all need to try to relax and just wait until Dec 1st. Then you can all freak out. :laugh:
