Just realized I put 8/2 on my last thread haha my bad!
Honestly, being done is the best feeling in the world. Once I finished the Science section I thought for sure I was going to have to retake it. However, I kept a positive mindset going into RC, bc I knew that this was the toughest section for me. I will post a breakdown very soon, just want to relax after a long day. My goal was to get an 20AA, and I couldn't be more happy with my scores besides for QR. Wanted your guys input on how you think I did...

BREAKDOWN:
I just want to start off saying I am by NO smarter than your average normal kid. I started studying around May 15- Test Day. I did give myself about a week break where I got to relax up north for a bit (I highly recommend taking a break for more than 3 days to keep yourself sane). I studied anywhere from 8-9 hrs a day to 10-12 hrs a day, just had to keep trucking through it, "hard work always triumphs." I found it very essential in my study to constantly pray and always keep your faith. Try not to lose hope off bad practice tests! They are intended to be harder to prepare you for something easier/more basic, so try not to get discourage by tests like me. Also, I found it very helpful to meet up with my buddy about every 2 or 3 weeks to see where we were at. This helped tremendously to see where your weaknesses are by doing other practice material. Hope this helps...

STUDYING- I just read through AP Cliff's once, made my own notes to study. I also used Alan's notes which were very helpful since AP doesn't cover everything in depth (physio). I went through Destroyer about 3x and made notecards through this "notecard" system on my iPhone. This helped so I could study wherever. I feel going through Destroyer is key, but most importantly going through the answers. I found it extremely helpful to just read the answers towards the last week or so before your test. Overall I felt most prepared for this section with my general knowledge from classes, and very happy I took comparative anatomy before my DAT. I wouldn't suggest going crazy in depth with the phylums and all the plants, know the general idea of the sections and try to stress on detail like the practice tests offer. Just think about it, if you study something in such detail and don't understand the overall concept it's pretty pointless. Understand the general idea and then go into more detail.
TEST- First off, my buddy told me to call him the day before my test bc he wanted to explain something to me, but wanted to wait until the day before. When he told me this I started to worry myself. With the intentions to stay positive, he mentioned that going through the first 10 or so questions on the biology section you will tend to feel like you're going to fail. It's how everyone feels on a big test, they tend to think they're failing when in reality you actually do fine. When he told me this I started to freak out bc it was the day before the test but he made it clear that when you hit the hard section just know the next will be a breeze. Well i started my test expecting some crazy question about something I've never heard of when it ended up being a joke about angiosperms. I started to fly thru bio thinking "wow, what the hell was he talkin about" until I got to gen chem, but ill get to that next. Bio wasn't nearly as hard as achiever, or the kaplan subject tests. Questions were very basic and simple, aside from a weird microarray technology question. Overall I think qvault was the best representation on type of questions, however, the wording on the real test was much trickier. I feel I was most prepared for this section and I'm just very glad it paid off.

STUDYING- Chad is a must! I watched his videos once and made very detailed notes as if I was in his lecture. I then went strait to Destroyer problems. I felt that the best thing for gen chem was to keep practicing problems and TIME yourself. Yes, problems are very important but make sure you have all the concepts down. That's what I felt detroyer was missing, conceptual problems which qvault does well on. I felt very comfortable with gen chem until I seen my 2009 ADA scores. This was a wake up call to start studying more of the concepts on gen chem bc in reality I only had about 10-12 work out problems on my test.
TEST- I personally thought this was one of the hardest section on my test. I guess I didn't have the concepts down enough and some calculations I thought were too easy to be true, which eventually got in my head. IMO I thought going through Destroyer 3x and making flash cards on certain equations was all i needed but I guess not. You really need to have a wide variety of questions to practice and TIMING, that's where qvault comes in handy. Achiever was also helpful with their tricky problem solving.

Qvault (18,19,20,20,21,19,19,26,20,20)-- good representation
2009 ADA (17)
STUDYING- For OC I just used my notes and book from class. I felt I had a good grasp on OC, that I didn't need to waste time going through Chad's vids. I did Destroyer problems 3x and made notecards for the reactions that weren't sticking. DO NOT just memorize actually understand what is occurring bc chances are you will never see that exact same example. My professor for OC pretty much brainwashed us to know OC like a second language, so I felt pretty good but not so much on the concepts again. I understood the reactions more than the "acid/base strengths" or "which proton is more acidic" type questions. That's when I wish I would've watched Chad's vids but I think I did just fine on the real thing
TEST- The test itself was very simple IMO. All my reactions were your basic Sn1 Sn2, E1, E2, HBR/heat, Br/perox. reactions. NOTHING crazy that destroyer had you go through so if you're feeling discouraged going through Destroyer, I know, I was right there with you. It f***in sucked but chances are you won't see a reaction as hard as those. According to my scores I would say qvault again was the best representation. Achiever had many similar questions as well, especially their conceptual based questions. Overall this section was the easiest out of the 3, I just wish I wouldn't have wasted so much time on GC.
PAT: 22
CDP (22, 24, 23, 26, 28, 23, 21, 25, 25, 24)
Achiever (18,21,22)-- good representation
2009 ADA (22)
STUDYING- I started studying this section during winter break thinking I would have a head start on studying for the summer. Well, I completely forgot everything. PRACTICE TIMING is all i can say for this section. I felt that CDP wasn't enough seeing as I was doing so well on them, so I decided to time myself for only 50 minutes. Achiever kicked my ass but I still feel like I did well on them. DO NOT COUNT OF LINE COUNTING WHEN STUDYING T/F/E!! I highly recommend understanding the solid/dashed lines inside and out.
TEST- Harder than I expected. I don't want to say Achiever is the best representation to scare anyone, but it honestly is. Not every section of the real PAT will be as hard as Achiever's but 2 out of the 6 will.
Keyholes- IMO were literally impossible. Know your proportions for this section. It also didn't help that my computer wasn't showing the shapes right but I just wanted to get it done with and on to the other sections bc this was my weakest.
T/F/E- Achiever, Achiever, Achiever for this section. Don't even bother with CDP for T/F/E bc line counting works almost a 100% of the time. Make sure you understand solid/dashed lines, very important.
Angles- I thought were extremely hard (some looked like 3 degrees apart). I was always good at angles during CDP, but I felt that this section and keyholes were the hardest on the real thing.
Hole Punch- Hands down the easiest section of the whole test. Hole punches were similar to kaplans subject tests aka a f***in joke. Don't sweat it at all.
Cubes- Definitely use the tally mark system, saves a bunch of time. I was kind of pissed doing this section bc I normally set up about 5 but on the real thing i had to make 6. Needless to say this section was a joke.
Pattern Folding- Pretty rough, but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Similar to achiever but no crazy shadings. This section was testing your ability to fold the shapes rather than understanding where the shadings will go. Practice w/ achiever!!

PRACTICE- I couldn't be more happy with my score. Going into the test I knew this was my weakest section. I've always been a slow reader and forcing myself to read fast, I knew i would comprehend nothing. I couldn't seem to find a good strategy for RC. I tried writing down key words from the questions then doing S/D, just straight up S/D, reading the passage then answering questions, everything. Nothing would get me above an 18 on the practice tests. I knew I was screwed for this test so I decided to wait til the week before to really practice. This ended up freaking me out even more bc I didn't have a strategy decided til the day before. I told myself I felt most comfortable with reading as much as I could in 10 mins then start the problems.
TEST- I had a fungal infection passage, ethics passage, and epithelial/mesenchymal tissue passage. I started reading the first passage and later realized I didn't comprehend anything. I then went strait to S/D bc I felt the passage was easily mapped out. All the infections were italicized making it easy for ANYONE to find the answers. I continued the S/D for the next passages and felt most comfortable with this section when I was done. VERY SUPRISING! The passages were 13, 22, ~15 paragraphs long but some paragraphs were only like 2 sentences or so. My best advice for this section, at least for me, was to remain confident and try giving yourself enough time for each passage. Don't let your practice tests discourage you if you're doing poor on RC, bc if I can get a 20 on this section, ANYONE else can. I would definitely say qvault was one of the best representations bc CDR offered too many tone questions. I probably had 1 or 2 TOPS tone questions.

STUDYING- I went through KBB for QR, and some of chads vids. Going into the best I felt pretty prepared since I've always been decent at math, however, timing killed me. For this section I highly recommend Math destroyer which I only got to go through with my friend. A lot of similar problems, especially probability and statistics.
TEST- Like I said, I thought I was prepared til I got straight screwed on this section. I felt like I've never seen some of the questions before. I had three questions based off some chart like I was some sort of accounting major and some crazy probability questions. I also had some very simple questions (ex. 2x - 7 > 5x + 10, solve for x) but those weren't until the end. Best advice is to keep track of time and mark the ones you don't know right away and go to the easy ones, easy points! Wish I could give better advice but I don't think I can with such poor results 🙁
OVERALL TEST: A lot easier than I expected. The best advice I can give you all is DO NOT get discouraged with your practice tests like I did. This just causes more stress and prevents you from actually learning the material. I am no genius or anything, just worked my ass off for about 3 months. Always remember that these practice tests are intended to be harder to better prepare you for something much easier. I'm really happy I purchased Qvault the week or two before my test for the simple fact that it was the best representation. Achiever is also a good purchase for PAT. As far as the other sections, it's sort of a wake up call to crack down and get your ass studying.
