Nice.. Congrats! How quickly do interview invites typically go out from programs in general or specifics if anyone has knowledge about a certain program's timeline?
 
Congrats on the early interview invite! I've seen a couple of other specialties sending out invites today so I'm sure there are programs that will be offering interviews in the coming two weeks. My hunch is that most will occur after October 1st though.
 
I wonder how complete an app has to be before they send out an invite. I'm missing my MSPE, 1 LoR pending, and no PS yet.

did anyone else get an "application received" email from washU? im confused... it said:

"While we will begin pre-screening applications over the next few weeks, we
won’t begin reviewing files in earnest until Deans' Letters are released on
October 1st. For planning purposes, our Interview Open House days are
scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays November through January. If you have
special circumstances that will require our attention (i.e. travel
limitations, disability accommodations, etc.)"

I'm assuming thats not an interview offer, and it seems like they are saying they won't be offering interviews till after deans letter... but u guys are saying u got it already... im confused....

That email is from the University of Washington (SEATTLE). I got it too.

The interviews listed here are Washington University (St Louis).

It's been 3 days guys! From talking to people from previous years as well as the e-mails/msgs from programs seems to indicate the majority will go out after the Deans' Letters are released.

If you haven't gotten any interviews by now, you should probably get started on your Starbuck's app.

Seriously people...we're 2 days in...even the most complete app is still missing critical data...you really need to relax.

The vast majority of the interview offers that have gone out so far (which probably amounts to <1% of the total offers for the season) have gone to superstars (the 260+/AOA/1st author Nature paper crowd), the homers (it's easier to just interview every applicant from your school than to have to explain to the Dean why you didn't match Little Jimmy) and the folks who did aways (not a slam dunk...but most programs will at least give you a mercy interview).

TL;DR...OMFG...you can freak out about this in the last week of December...no sooner.
