Hi! This looks like a really useful book. As a pre-med student who is about to begin writing a personal statement, I have seen many, many books on how to write that "acceptance-to-Harvard" personal statement. How does your book differ from others on the market? What do you offer in your book that others don't?

Thanks!

Does this book have a list of commonly asked secondary questions to give you a head start in writing them?

Hi plumhill:
our book helps with both overall strategy and concrete ways to approach the writing process. We provide specific brainstorming advice drawn from years of experience-- advice that will help you focus your ideas, refine your content, and develop a compelling theme for your essay. And once you've got words on paper, we provide tips on how to revise and edit your essay.
The book also includes sections on the activities section and secondary essays. It's a great resource.

Hi Caristra, the book addresses several of the most commonly asked secondary essay questions and provides advice on how to prepare for secondary apps.

Another great resource for secondary essays is the series on our blog that provides advice on how to approach each school's secondary essay prompts: http://blog.accepted.com/resources/school-specific-med-secondary-essay-tips/

kingking,

Write Your Way to Medical School doesn't have a specific section for non-traditional applicants, but it the advice on how to present yourself is relevant whether you are a traditional or non-traditional applicant.

Best,
Linda
