ill be coming from the bay area... i am really hoping that the grad school gets enough money to get us out-of-staters some in state tuition... 🙂
 
I'm coming to Flagstaff too! 🙂 I'm coming down from Minnesota.

I got a second email offering an out-of-state tuition waiver so I think they're starting offer them as they become available.

I'm really excited to meet everyone!

SJD, I might have to ask you for some winter driving tips... I've lived in warm climates all my life :laugh:
 
I got the email about an hour after the acceptance email.

Well this is coming from someone who's always been terrified of winter driving:
If it's icy don't brake and if there's lots of snow don't stop or drive below 30mph for anything 🙂
 
I was also offered in-state tuition, but I might decline my offer for NAU. Hopefully if I decline, they'll give that tuition assistance to another out-of-stater. After the first year, all of us out-of-staters can apply for residency, so the out-of-state tuition only applies for the first year. Hey soccermaster, I'm from the Bay Area, too!

where you in the 7:30 am interview at phoenix? I remembers someone from there... he left early before the tour to check out of his hotel...

yeah I still have not heard anything about the waver... its thought to be sad or disappointed right now since i got in... but it would still help a lot!

No, I interviewed in Flag. And I'm a she! 😉
Even the out of state tuition is a bargain at NAU, but I know what you mean.

has anyone looked at any housing yet? I started to check out the scene just for some curiosity on whats out there.... im a little overwhelmed at the moment 🙁

I will probably start the process pretty soon. I would like to get it figured out by early summer so that I won't have to worry about it later on.

Also, I went on a tour of the NAU Graduate College last summer and was given a list of apartment communities (presumably commonly used by graduate students). It includes some basic info (e.g. rent, location, amenities, etc.).

If anybody wants a copy, shoot me a message and I'll get it to you. It's a start! 😎

I know what you mean! I've been looking at housing and everything seems way too fancy. I just want simple... 🙂
 
I will be attending the Flagstaff campus in the Fall...I was hoping some people might be interested in starting a Facebook group for our class!

I think that you need to be able to add one person before making a group so if someone is interested, message me your contact info and I can start a group page for everyone!

I am still unable to find the Facebook page... =(
I can find the 2013, 2014, and 2015 pages, but not 2016. Boo! Hahaha!
