1 day volunteer experiences = to include or not?

Hi guys,

Would it be a bad idea to include community service events that I participated in for a day on my application?

If you have room why not? As long as thats not your only volunteer experience I think itll be fine.

I did volunteer events for 1 days as well..and I didn't include it. I found that b/c it was so little hours, there's no point and the fact that you put it on shows that you're trying too hard? (my opinion). I just added community service in my description portion, as a club member. If they need proof, I'll just show them.

Would it be a bad idea to include community service events that I participated in for a day on my application? I volunteered at my college's science night for the two years that I was there, 5 hours each time.

I also spent eight hours painting a house for a senior citizen.

I think it depends on the event. I went to a Smiles for Veteran charity event at a local hygienist school. It was a one time event doing exams and fillings for veterans attending or enrolled in local universities. It was a great event but it was only 4 hours. I put it on my application.

I would add it since it involves health services which is related to dentistry.
