I just thought of this today. I bought one suit, but then a lot of interviews are two days. What is normally done? (I really don't want to go shopping again. It was hard enough for me to decide on the first one). Do some people really just wear the same suit for two days? Is this considered ok?

I'd do two suits. Different colors. Different shoes and tie, naturally.

which schools have interviews that are 2 days?

I don't think there are many interviews that are two days. At least not for just MD interviews. I'm not sure about MD/PhD interviews.

maybe its a little easier if you are female because one of my friend bought a combo suit.... she got the pants and a skirt that went with the same jacket, same material everything. So basically she wore the jacket with the skirt sometimes and with the pants at other times, so might be worth considering.

So suits are recommended?

Is it ever ok to do a suit on the first day and business-casual on the second? Like a pair of black twill slacks with a beige blouse or sweater (for the second day)? I'm so broke I'm trying to make do with what I have...

I had a suit with dress & jacket. I had one interview that turned into a 2-day because I stuck around and visited another campus. I put a cardigan over the dress for a more casual look and it worked well.

I'd find out the schedule and do the more casual look for the campus tour, informal meetings with students, etc. More formal for the interviews.

I'd do two different suits, shirts and ties, same shoes as long as they go with the shoes.

suits? bathrobe all the way. I want to look distinctive. Maybe I'll wear a tie with that too.

It's not like you're going to be interviewing with the same person on both days. I see absolutely no reason to buy a suit if you're not going to use it for anything else other than the occasional two-day interview.

If you're going to wear it to work, weddings, church, or something like that, fine. But come on, who are you trying to impress? the secretary?

for the first day wear ur suit...the second day your berfday suuuuiiiittttt
personally im gonna show up to an interview with my chad pennington jersey after i get in somewhere to see what happens 🙂

me too. how many of us can afford/need 2 suits?

word...ballin' on a budget

I'm still wondering what schools have 2-day interviews....is it an MD-PhD deal? I know some places where I'm going to have to meet a medical student (host) the afternoon or evening before my interview day, and it may be in the presence of adcom members, but I was just planning to wear some nice pants and sweaters for that....
