From those who have taken Step I recently have there been questions on specific HLA types or specific translocations(ie. 8:14). I know a few of these cold but I've have yet to hear someone who has taken it to say they had questions. 2 friends took it last week and both had none. 🙄 If not, I'm not going to waste my time.

Just try to remember the big players if you're running out of time. I'd at least know these associations:

Diabetes
Ankylosing spondylitis
CML
Follicular lymphoma
Burkitt's lymphoma
Down's syndrome
Rheumatoid arthritis
Among a few others I can't think of off the top of my head

I had no HLA, DRA, translocations, save for AML, but it wasnt asked directly.

I would know the ones pox listed, to be safe.

excellent....most of those I already know, but it seems like they aren't asked much. Thanks!

I had at least 2 questions where knowing the translocations and what they do helped answer the question.
