Sorry, I know this has probably been answered before, but I can't find the search button!

What are the states that require only 1 year of residency for FMG's to be licensed? And does anyone know of a site that lists positions still not filled post scramble?

I thought that just about every state allowed physicians to be licensed to practice after 1 yr of residency and passing a test? Isn't that all General practioners need?

If you are a US student, yep, you are licensed after one year. If you are an FMG, it varies state to state.

I found the answer to my question on the AMA site- Alaska, Arkansas, DC, Iowa, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, and the Virgin Islands.
