I don't think volunteer hours say much at all about one's desire to be a physician. The way I see it, working as a 911 response EMT is doing more good than volunteering at a soup kitchen. I would say my application is focused around clinical experience. I understand that volunteering and research are going to be the weak areas of my application, but I don't feel the need to go to a T-20 or 30 school. I am just curious whether lacking volunteer hours is a total disqualifying factor.
As for the Wisconsin schools, I have family ties there and am a big fan of MCW. I am having trouble deciding on other schools so would appreciate some input.
