Not to spread rumors, but one of my fellow interns also doing gas was telling me that one of the other resident web sites has an article/talk about how ten states are trying to let some anesthesia be done w/o anesthesiologist present.Anyone here about this?

This and the rumors that the govt will be slashing pain management reimbursement soon others have been posting have me crapping my draws......................id like to be able to buy food some day (and ya, maybe an ipod too..............!)

I think there are already 7 states that have clearance to have nurse anesthetists work independently.

how about the government slashes medical school tuition as well?
