Hi guys, I thought I would do anyone who was curious about the $100 ADA test module and contemplating buying it a favor by telling you it is NOT worth it (hope I don't get in trouble for saying that lol). Me being as dumb as I am, let curiosity get the best of me and paid to take it just to see if there were any abnormally hard questions...there weren't :lame:

They straight up copied A LOT of questions from the 2007 ADA Test for every section with some different ones here and there. They had 2 Reading Passages, one of which was legit the 2007 passage. Also, they split your time FOR you, they gave me 36mins for Biology, 27mins for Gen Chem, and 27 mins for Orgo Chem which was annoying because Biology doesn't take that long and I ended up having to wait it out for the time left over. Also, the QR doesn't have that many quantitative comparisons and the ones that they DO have are super easy with graphs. In terms of difficulty, the questions mirrored the styling, difficulty, and wording of DAT Bootcamp so you're better off just taking a Full-Length practice test through their site for practice instead.

Hope this helps anyone who was curious and prevents people from making the same mistake I did! :smack:

@Veni vidi vicii Legit it doesn't even do a good job of that because they only give you 3 hours to finish it anyways and only half of the reading and perceptual ability

So....not everyone is in the situation with the DAT. I spent $20 and just looked at the QR section. For my situation it made sense. I had to beg my boss for two and a half weeks off from work, which he very reluctantly gave me and then still managed to call me into the office twice. Since I have three kids at home and travel all the time it's very hard with my job to have a consistent study schedule sometimes. I had tried to study for the damn thing 3 times only to restart from day one and finally just decided to cram really hard and take it, which involved 14-16 hours of study everyday for two weeks straight. I didn't have the luxury of wasting time covering material that might not be tested, so I did the ADA QR section to see what the questions were like and to get a baseline. Instead of using the BC resources for QR I bought just that specific section from qvault which was much more similar in content and used that to study the problems that needed to get better at working.

I ended up getting an 18 on QR, which I honestly wish was a bit higher. I agree with OP that if you have the time to study properly that the entire ADA practice test is totally over priced and not value added, but if you have limited time and need to be efficient in where you are putting your effort it might help get a frame of reference.

I thought the damn test was $37?

I mean it's ridiculous enough that the DAT is $100+ more expensive than the MCAT, a test that is twice as long as the DAT.
