100 hours shadowing

I know many schools have a requirement of 100 hours of shadowing.

So far I have about 80 hours of shadowing. I am still shadowing, but by the time I apply, I'll only have ~90 hours of shadowing. I've made sure to list the experience as ongoing, as I plan on shadowing there for the rest of the summer, thereby putting me well past 100 hours.

Will my app get automatically rejected for having less than 100 hours of shadowing at the time of application, or will the adcoms realize that I'm still planning on shadowing until I have at least 100 hours?

no. they want to see that you're involved and you understand a little about what goes on in dentistry. the exact number is not that important.
