100hours 2weeks

Currently working at a lab and have been trying to get a publication; working almost every day from 8am to 8pm. I realize alot of people would have said to start shadowing a dentist earlier this summer and continue that but for me it wasnt possible.

Would schools, prehealth committees care if I got ~100hours of shadowing in 2weeks? For me there really isnt any other option at this point. Need to get the typical pre-dental hours before my prehealth committee letter application process.

I plan to continue to shadow dentists other than GP, hopefully OMFS later this year but Im at a point where I just need the hours to play the game.

If anything wouldnt 100hours in 2weeks be a much more realistic shadowing experience than 2hours a day until 100hours?

This is fine, as long as you follow up with your plan to "continue to shadow dentists" throughout the year and can show that on your AADSAS app.

I spoke with admissions officers from two different schools and both highly emphasized that they prefer longevity in shadowing....i.e. they like to see applicants shadow over an extended period of time as it shows sustained interest in and commitment to dentistry.
 
Do that and then do at least 2 hours a month for the rest of your undergrad career.
Try to shadow more than 5 different offices. (At least 1 general dentist office and the hours in that general dentist office should be more 50)
