If you still have a 4.0 college GPA, then you are still in good shape to pursue medicine. Just make sure you keep your GPA up while transferring. You have 3+ years to find ECs/experiences that will help you build your application. There are plenty of people starting med school at ages 25 and up. I personally didn't start med school until I was 26.
 
It's definitely not too late. Non-medically-related ECs are not at all a bad thing; just make sure you get some clinical experience by volunteering and shadowing (which it sounds like you are planning to do). Don't rush anything, and keep your grades up (sounds like you're doing well now; high school no longer matters).
