From what I can tell you should be fine! You have a legitimate reason for doing so.
 
Will I be negatively viewed for finishing my undergrad in five years? I guess the "silver lining" in my situation is that I have more time to strengthen my application for things like research, shadowing, and volunteering.
Your situation will not reflect negatively on you in the med school admission process. And I like that you can already see the "silver lining."
 
Youre being a tad bit neurotic. Im doing six years + one more as a gap year.
