Prosthodontists actually do place implants. Many Prosthodontics residencies are teaching and requiring their residents to place implants. Even many dental students are placing implants nowadays.

Interesting topic. I was told from a biased person .. Academic professor at MAryland as well as from many members on the ASDA (American society of dental aesthetics) that prosth then implant fellowship is the best route.. Just thought I'd share something . But j personally have no idea.. IMO that smells like 5 years of more tuition haha
