Well, I don't know about UNLV being easy to get into, but you have the GPA to be extremely competitive there regardless of how easy it is to get in.

UNLV's formula for quantitatively ranking its applicants on the basis of academic strength (before looking at other aspects of the application) is available, so you might want to give it a look once you've taken the DAT. From this thread:

Just interviewed at UNLV yesterday and Dr. Ancajas wanted us to post the correct formula to predict if your getting in or not. It is made up of two parts, part on is your DAT scores and GPA:

PART 1
((CUM GPA + SCI GPA)/8)x(RC/30)x((BIO+QR+OCHEM)/90)x75=A

PART 2
This is your interview performance: Student and faculty interview you and give you a 1-5 with 5 being the best applicant possible.

((Student interview)/5) x (Faculty interview/5) x 25 = B

A+B = 100 max

How does grad GPA work into this? e.g. a student who did mediocre in undergrad but stellar in a Master's program?

I don't know if any dental school is "easy" to get into but obviously they prefer to accept applicants from Nevada.

I read some posts about UNLV dental school and it seems like it's easy(?) to get in if you are in state. Is it still true? That one post was posted on 2005 so I'm wondering if it still is...
I have 3.8 GPA and planning to take DAT soon!
UNLV isnt an easy school to get into.. look into more schools

To the OP,

Look up the ADEA guide for the last 2 years, it's very good chance for NV resident to get in UNLV.

60-70 applied and ~42 accepted.
