I just got into an MPH at Harvard. Will it help me get into medical school? I've seen a lot of threads say that the MPH will do little, but what about at a prestigious school? During my MPH I plan to build up more clinical experience, take some science classes at the undergraduate campus, and get solid rec. letters. I only decided to pursue medicine after being accepted, so it's not that I'm doing this to get in. I just want to make sure that medicine is for me. My cGPA is 3.55 ( very strong upward trend - straight As the last two years). Have yet to take the MCAT.

I'm just genuinely confused. Haha not trying to be a jerk!

I'm doing it more so because I have a strong interest in public health, but I want to see if I still want to do medicine after. I guess what my question is is whether my MPH may make me more competitive, as it is from a top school. However, given my reason of being unsure about my career path perhaps it doesn't matter more if my MPH makes me more competitive, because I am doing this to figure out my career goals.

Ok, got it. If this MPH helps you decide that medicine is for you, then I do think it will be beneficial to your application (assuming you do well). The activities you mentioned that you will be doing during the MPH will also help to strengthen your reason for pursuing medicine. So, yes, I think it's a smart plan of action.
