How about you take your DAT again, get a 22, and go to dental school in the fall of 2018.
I've been thinking about this for some time now except I haven't taken the DAT yet. I was considering just going straight to a masters program but after doing more research it's really just better to retake the DAT. The DAT is looked at more. If you get 20+ then you should be golden. I have a similar GPA, you should be good there. Just rock the DAT!

Retaking the DAT is a lot cheaper and easier than completing a masters with a 4.0, imo
My vote is also for retaking the DAT. It will be much less stressful and significantly cheaper than doing an entire extra degree. Don't underestimate the work it takes to get a 3.8+ in grad school. If you did the masters and messed up badly (low 3), you would be in a very deep hole.
If you want to cover all of your bases, I'd retake the DAT and then take a few upper-division courses this fall (post-bacc) to show your continued success in science courses. Do that, apply broadly and intelligently, and you should be good.

DAT for sure it costs tens of thousands cheaper and a lot less work and time in the long run. Unless you do worse of course....
