Hi @canijust and @Goro ,

Do you have additional information on SMP's in NYC? Im having difficulties finding good information.

Many of the graduate schools in NYC offer "accelerated" Masers in Bioethics and Biomedical Informatics for example, but I'm not sure if any of these programs are a good idea. Ultimately, I'm only searching for masters offered by the medical schools.

The matriculation list you saw, was it NYC schools exclusively?

I know it's been several months, since you posted, I hope all is going well.

Getting a master's degree at a specific medical school in no way will give you a leg up for admission to that school's MD program unless the school has a specific linkage.

All I can tell you is that these programs are common, and if you ace them, and MCAT, there are med schools that reward reinvention.

N = 1 but as someone who aced an SMP (4.0) and had a 516+ MCAT, only Downstate rewarded me with a II (though I didn't apply to Cornell or NYU). I did get a lot of love from Northeast schools outside NYC though.

Hi thanks for posting! Do you mind if I ask what your uGPA, sGPA, and if applicable postbacc GPA was? Did you use your MCAT or GRE to get into your SMP? I'm from NY and am currently looking at SMPs
