Junior at state university, planning on applying this cycle.
WI resident
3.9+ cGPA/3.8+ sGPA, 525 MCAT
ORM
Clinical experience
~250 hrs hospital volunteer (close patient contact, mostly pediatric)
24 hrs shadowing (20 hrs primary care, 4 hrs ED — I am trying to get some more hours before applying)

Non-clinical volunteering
80 hrs as conversation partner for non-native English speakers
50 hrs as tutor for adult ESL learners
100+ hrs doing science outreach with children

Research
Same lab for 3 years — no pubs but have received a university grant and will present poster on campus
Worked in a different lab for a summer

Extracurriculars
Leadership role in campus newspaper (1 year, and have been heavily involved with the paper for 3 years)
Leadership role in music related EC (2 years, been involved for 3 years)
Art related EC, but only started last fall

Honors/awards
Full ride scholarship
Dean's list
Phi beta kappa

School List — Any that I should add, or definitely take off (eg. low yield)? I know my research is weak even though I've been doing it for quite some time so I imagine my chances would be hurt at some research heavy schools. Any feedback on my ECs is particularly welcome.

Your application is fine for anywhere and your research is not weak. I know it seems like everyone at top research schools has 15 publications, but it's not the case. 3 years in a lab is solid. Know your research and be able to explain why publication didn't happen. But you have a near perfect app. I think shadowing is pretty useless, but get about 15-20 more hours just for show and you'll be good.

Agreed, except that I don't think you need more shadowing hours, you need more volunteer hours. Try to continue volunteering with the orgs you're already helping out. With those stats, you should be getting interviews all over the place. Make sure everything on your app is written well and work on your interview skills. People skills are much more heavily emphasized these days than in years past, even at research juggernauts. If you make an interviewer feel ill at ease or you're too silent or too talkative, nothing on your application can save you.

Why not add UMinnesota, Pitt, UCLA, and UCSF? Not saying you have to, but I was wondering why those weren't on your list since you already have other schools in those areas.
