This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Now that I am about 95% certain I will be attending a DO school where I have been awarded a full tuition scholarship, I am working on writing thank you letters to my LOR writers updating them on where I will be attending. I am struggling a bit with whether or not to mention the scholarship. On one hand, I feel like it is an important piece of my success that they helped make possible and that they would like to know. On the other hand, I worry that it might come across as attempting to justify my going to a DO school instead of an MD school. I do think a lot of my professors would be surprised to find out I am going to a DO school given I was often top of my classes, graduated with a 4.0, etc. I also worry that it sounds a little too self-congratulatory when the entire concept of thank you notes already feels a little humblebraggy to me.

Thoughts?
Dang which DO school has a scholarship for incoming OMS-1s? Congratulations btw!
