I had B-s in both Orgos taken at community college. I was actually asked about them at one of my interviews but I was able to explain why I didn’t do better. So you should be okay considering all else is fine.

Guys, I appreciate the humor, I lol'd. But actually, despite getting A's in all my science classes., my gpa is currently only a 3.7 because I pretty much averaged C's and B's in all of my general ed. classes due to a rough family situation.

So do you think I can make up for it by having solid EC's and getting A's in my upper divs. once I get to Davis? I'm volunteering at a local hospital this summer and I plan to volunteer at Davis medical center while I'm there. Also, I've had many different jobs and I have had a pretty unorthodox family situation since I was about 12 years old (I live with my aunt, grandma, and little cousin) and I'm about to start bartending this summer which I wanna do at Davis part-time. Thoughts?

I have friends that transferred to Davis from a CC and they got wrecked the first few quarters, they were 4.0 students at their CC. Not trying to scare you, but make a plan first to get straight A's before you start saying you will get it.

Sheesh, that's a good point. Thank you for the reality check.

Do you know if they took a very heavy course load? e.g. did they mention why they thought they did bad?

They just told me the quarter system was way faster than the semester system they had at CC. I don't think they took a heavy load though, all I know is that they took biochem

Ah, I see. Yeah, I've heard that the quarter system is very fast-paced compared to the semester system. My major will be biological sciences so maybe it won't be as brutal, but I'm still planning on it being much more challenging than what I'm used to.

Thanks, man.
