Some are more strict than others, but most schools will use drivers liscence to verify residency. Sometimes they want a lease or car registration to confirm.
So where does your DL say you’re from and how long has it been registered in that state?
Often state laws have in-state residency requirements for instate preference at state schools. private schools also tend to use these. Usually this involves living in the state for continually for 1 year plus and or work for a certain duration of time.
