Have you been accepted yet?As a TX applicant, I am ranking schools and just trying to gauge whether my schools choices are prestigious. One school (Dell) hasn't graduated a class and isn't ranked so I thought learning about the faculty might help me figure out where to rank it.
To neither, but I still have to rank them for match. I do have to put one before the other regardless of whether I am accepted.Have you been accepted yet?
Get accepted, and then start worrying about prestige. To neither, but I still have to rank them for match. I do have to put one before the other regardless of whether I am accepted.
@AnatomyGrey12 I was also not sure what it meant, but people posted about it when I asked how to decide how to rank schools and I've seen plenty of SDNer mention it on other threads choosing between similar schools.
@Goro You're a very knowledgeable advisor and you know that is not helpful for people relying on match. Ranking is explicitly done before getting accepted. I'll be happy to get in anywhere, but trying to set myself up for a good residency (especially since I didn't set myself up well for medical school) seems like a pretty reasonable thing to do.
