Hi there,

Do you think it would be odd to taken a 300-level (upper division) course called 'intro to genetics' during a post-bacc after having taken 'molecular genetics' and 'advanced molecular genetics' several years prior at another institution?

The courses have different descriptions and the intro to genetics course does cover new info; however, I'm hesitant to enroll and thinking it may look bad. The only alternative is 'general astronomy'.

Thanks

General astronomy looks far worse as astronomy at many schools is a known rocks for jocks type of science for nonscience majors type of course. It may be rigorous at your post back school (as it is at my undergrad) but no one may take the time to figure that out.

Going from Molecular genetics to intro? Maybe you know your transcription/translation/regulation like the back of your hand but want to know more about Mendel, punter squares, mitosis and meiosis? Who are they to judge? To reiterate the above, no one will care about the name of the class.
