I am deciding between SD and Rutgers north. I live in NY so the cost is a bit more, and the commute more involved...
 
I applied on the deadline. I just asked today and found out a decision has not been made. I wonder why? Maybe they are waiting for some decisions?
 
Maybe they are still reviewing your application and will let you know whether or not they want you for an interview. Good luck and keep me updated !

Hi all! I sent Downstate all my information back in October but I have not heard anything back yet, not even an interview. Is there anything I should do? I am so concerned since I have literally heard nothing back yet.

I contact them via e-mail every month and each time they say no decision has been made yet. I guess no news is good news.
I know they still need to do an interview, so I don't have high hopes, but I do suspect that they would have thrown me out by now.

My application isn't the best. I know that.
I think my cum. GPA is around a 3.00.
My science GPA is slightly higher, maybe 3.10.
My pre-req GPA by most school standards is 3.05. I know this school has 3-extra senior classes. But what does that mean?
That is very subjective. Which classes? I don't remember filling that out.
Do they take my 3 best Engineering Classes? Okay, so I probably shoot up to a 3.1-3.2 GPA.
If they take my 3 worst, my GPA is less lol.

I always banked on the hope that my BS in Engineering would help. And I am sure it has. But Downstate is really coming down to the wire. I think I will call today.

What are your stats? ( GPA, Pre req, GRE, Observation hours)

Cumulative GPA: 3.52
Pre Req: 3.32
GRE: v:148 q:145 w: 4.0
Observation: 53hrs outpatient, 42hrs inpatient, and 120 hrs school-based pediatrics

I also *Have a strong background in research*

I have yet to even get a call about decline or not. Just waiting

Yeah, same situation. I called in and was told to call admissions but no one picked up. Let us know if you find out anything
 
I emailed them last week and they replied back quickly saying that my application is still under review. I'm not too sure how I feel about it based on how everyone got the same answer when contacting admissions. Good luck to everyone else and don't give up!
 
Anyone know the deadline? I got told via email on their admissions email that I'm still under consideration. But that was Monday. I bother the hell out of them
