This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I received two holds in December. I am currently working part time in the clinical field (already have 2000+ hours of clinical work) and am waiting to hear back from a couple research part time positions that I think I have a good chance of receiving the position (well connected to the position).

Should I wait until I start working the second job to send the letter of interest? At what point is it too late to send the letter?

As a side note, I've also been doing some nonclinical volunteering and tutoring on the side as well but nothing else that would be worth mentioning.
The fact that you want to send a LOI to two different schools is yet more evidence as to why Admissions Deans treat these as lies.

And if you still don’t believe me, read these:

Yet, I still believe they're going to be given more weight this year due to the change in traffic rules. At several of my interviews this cycle, adcoms have said something along the lines of, "if you are interested in us, please let us know." Some schools even overtly stated and encouraged sending letters of interest and letters of intent. The problem is there is nothing in place to stop someone like OP from just spamming LOI's to every school.

I made a mistake. I apologize. I meant update letter not letter of interest, which is why I listed all of my current activities and asked the question about if I should wait until the research position.
