Thanks for your thoughts! I'm definitely planning to ask with more detail once I have my MCAT scores--was really posting this to get thoughts on how much the W's themselves will impact admissions, though I know it damn sure ain't a positive to have 'em.1. For MD programs, those W's will hurt you.
2. There is no such thing as a "good" MD school.
3. You have no MCAT score
4. Wait till you have an MCAT score and then ask this question regarding MD school admissions.

Thanks so much for your thoughts here! Really appreciate the encouragement. I'll definitely follow your advice and prepare well in order to do as well as I possibly can on the MCAT.I don't think the high school W's will hurt you. You've got an excellent gpa that will put doubts about your academic ability to rest. The more recent W's are not great, but you have a good explanation for them. Most schools have a "is there anything else you would like to tell us" prompt you can use for this purpose.
You are good to go. Definitely do not do a post-bacc or SMP. Just concentrate on doing well on the MCAT. If you prepare well and get a high score you'll have a great cycle- Adcoms love high stat URMs even more than they love high stat applicants generally.
You are good to go.
I'll definitely do my due diligence with respect to talking to admissions advisors. What do you mean when you say "true stats," though?OP, please do your due diligence and discuss your application with an admissions advisor during an open-house or something to that effect. Each school views a scenario like yours differently. You are most certainly not good to go because nobody knows where you will be applying or what your true stats are and that MCAT score.
If you were to apply to my school, those W's will hurt you only because you will be competing against applicants who have flawless applications. That may not be the case at another school but there will almost certainly be another school just like mine.

I know that I have to do well on the MCAT and I plan to have a diverse school list--I'm not going to apply exclusively to top 20s or anything goofy like that. However, unfortunately, I can't erase those W's so I just want to do everything else in my power to make a strong application and ameliorate whatever damage the W's will cause.
You mean there is no such thing as a "bad" MD school (except for the ethics of the people running CNU?)1. For MD programs, those W's will hurt you.
